A free awareness session presented by Haemochromatosis Australia will include:
- Hobart gastroenterologist Dr Hugh Jackson – general information about Haemochromatosis in an informal question and answer format.
- Menzies PhD student Barbara de Graaff – overview of her study of the health economics of the disorder, summary of current research and a ‘cost of illness’ study.
- Haemochromatosis Australia volunteers – on hand to talk about the practical support provided by the organisation and the upcoming Haemochromatosis Awareness Week.
